Summer 2021/22 season – Register now!
We are now in the preparatory stages for Summer 2021/22 season and the Early Bird registration process is NOW OPEN until Sunday 22nd August.

Before registering, please read about the new fee structure which came into effect for the Winter 2021 Season.
New Fee structure
A reminder, that there was a change to the fee structure for the Winter 2021 season introduced by Basketball Victoria.
In the past, the club has paid a ‘team fee’ to the EDJBA to register with Basketball Victoria.
This Basketball Victoria component is now a new individual fee that must paid at the time of registering a player.
It is an annual payment, so if you paid the BV fee as part of a winter registration, you will not need to pay the BV fee for summer 2021/22 season.
If you did not play this Winter, but are registering for Summer, you will need to pay the BV fee.
The new fee structure summarised:
- Basketball Victoria (BV) Fee – an annual individual player registration fee paid directly to Basketball Victoria.
- Standard club registration fee – this covers the club running cost (venues, referees, match day payments).
Standard club registration fee
For the first time in a number of seasons, we will be increasing the club registration fee for the summer season slightly.
There are several reasons for this.
- We have incurred additional venue cost over the last 12 months to create the buffer of 1 hour training spots, in order to implement COVID-19 rules.
- Our new courts at Latrobe University do come at a higher cost than traditional venues, these costs are now being realised.
- We have invested in additional Referee supervision, training and support.
Going forward, we will also be doing the following:
- Offering more training opportunities for our coaches
- Investing in school holiday programs and clinics
- Investing in our venues
- Investing in additional paid support of club operations
As a community focussed club our fees are still cheaper, or in line with larger association clubs.
Winter season rebate
For members that played in the COVID effected Winter season, we will be offering a $30 credit towards your summer registration.
All paid up Winter season families will soon receive a follow up email with a discount code which you will need to enter at the checkout for it to be credited against your child’s fees.
We feel it’s important to pass back some of this money given we are a not for profit operation.
For families that registered in Winter but will not be playing in Summer, you will have the option to receive a $30 refund, or you can choose to donate those funds to the club if you wish.

Uniform sales
Uniforms can be ordered online from Fiddes Sport (https://fiddes.com.au/product-tag/banyule/) or email fiddes@fiddes.com.au.
The store is located at 15/24 Brand Drive Thomastown. Please contact Fiddes for opening hours as they are subject to change.
If you need to collect an order or if you need to visit the Fiddes store to try on a uniform then members are advised to call in advance 9464 1721.
Please be aware that Fiddes only has a small shop front and under their COVID safe plan will only be able to allow one family at a time into the shop.
Special orders for a specific uniform number can still be placed however no time guarantee will be given as the sport returns to “COVID normal”.
