The Club would like to thank Natalie Gowen who is stepping down from the Committee to take on a very important volunteer role as Manager, Female Participation. Throughout 2023, Natalie will be working with the Committee to implement initiatives aimed at boosting female participation in coaching and playing across our Club. Currently, female members account for 33% of our playing members and only 25% of our coaches. We aim to increase this ratio over the next few years and will share more information about these strategies throughout the year.
As we move into 2023, we are welcoming two new staff members:
- Allison Bogle – Manager, Club Operations
- Andrew Wright – Administration Officer
Allison will manage team planning, venues, resources and member communication to ensure efficient running of club programs and competitions.
Andrew will manage member data and Club records and information, as well as communication channels, purchasing and general administrative support.
We are also in the process of recruiting a new Manager, Coach Development & Special Programs.
Our other paid roles within the club are our Mini Hawks facilitators who continue to do a fantastic job nurturing our young talent and introducing kids to basketball.
